Needs for the front office:

The front office has a requested the following items:

  • Inland-U-Mount-VESA-Wall-Mount-Up - $35 (free ship to store)
  • 24-inch backlit monitor - $107 (free shipping)

Linda made a motion that the PTO pay for the above items for the front office. Ginger noted that the PTO will be receiving over $300 from the Target school rewards program, which would more than cover the items. Joanie seconded the motion. All approved, and the motion passed.

Motorized screen for the auditorium:

Mr. Holley reported that the cost for a motorized screen will be between $2,500 and $3,000. He is not sure of the cost of labor to install the screen but will find out in the next few weeks. He stated that there may be funds in the school budget to help with the cost.

Grant Review:

  1. Tim supplied a table summarizing the grants that were awarded.
  2. The total amount awarded was $12,005.77.

Academic Excellence Celebration:

  1. The Academic Excellence celebration will be on Friday, April 15, at 9:00 a.m.
  2. George provided a handout detailing the tasks to be accomplished leading up to the celebration.
  3. The 4.0 criteria for receiving recognition was discussed. The following grading changes have occurred since last year: The grading scale is now a 10-point scale. An "A" is worth 4 points, an Honors class "A" is worth 4.5 points, and an AP "A" is worth 5.
  4. Ginger will ask Deb Rogers to check the freshman data to see how many freshmen would meet the 4.0 criteria for recognition. Last year there were 75.
  5. Paula is currently working on finding a speaker.
  6. Senior gifts were discussed. Everyone likes the Roo cups. Cathy suggested a luggage tag to go with the cup. The coin purses that were given out last year are being considered, as well. Windy moved that we give the seniors Roo cups again. Linda seconded the motion, and the motion was approved. Paula will ask Robbie Craft for the Roo cups, and we will all continue to think of options to go with them.
  7. Possible announcers for the ceremony: Michelle Harrell, Joanie, Steve Walston and Paula.
  8. We approved a budget of $1,500 for the ceremony.
